After the members agree to that, then tell them that they have to mask-up for safety.
fuck.
It’s only women and children, and the most important thing is that a man was able to exercise his 2A rights. Why would any public official get in the way of that?
The only right we consistently support and fight (and die for) is the right to kill others, whether with guns, viruses, forced medical conditions (like pregnancy), or refusal of basics for human survival.
That is basically Fox News’s take.
Judge Jeanine later criticized people who are frightened of people with guns. “People today, many of them, are intimidated, they are triggered if there is someone with a gun,” she said in addressing the idea of armed guards at schools. “They are frightened. That’s this new narrative. When you see a gun you should be frightened instead of appreciating what they are doing for you.”
Judge Jeanine wasn’t the only Fox News personality to bash the idea that kids may be “triggered” by the presence of guns in schools. “Quite frankly, who cares how the kids feel?” one host asked.
Fuck Faux News talking heads with a fucking chain saw. I am done with them and their hate.
(The irony of that statement is not lost on me, BTW)
They’re all saying the same thing, that people are ‘triggered’ when they see a gun.
The last of 3 definitions, BECAUSE it comes from the original definition, which is a mechanism to cause an explosion…you know, like for a gun:
3 : to cause an intense and usually negative emotional reaction in (someone) Water had a way of triggering my brother and making ordinary, everyday weather take a frightening turn for the worse.
The answer to guns is more guns.
It always works. Infallible.
Guns matter more than our rights to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” that’s for shit sure.
Too bad this POS doesn’t have regular access to intelligence and wisdom.
I’ve had pushback from American friends who say: “Okay, but you’ve got all this knife-crime in the UK.”
Fair point, and in my nearest town there was a double-stabbing about eight weeks ago. Weirdly, the second victim was the perpetrator - some kind of hari-kari thing going on.
But to kill 18 kids and 2 teachers is not going to happen without a gun to hand. Guns are just too easy to get hold of. That horrible kind of body-count will never happen no matter how good you may think you are with a knife. I don’t know, both weapons are bad, but guns only have the one, singular purpose.
If you only knew how utterly bizarre that sentence sounds to me on the other side of the Atlantic.
My daughter graduated from high school yesterday.
I admit with shame that I feel relief that I don’ t have to worry about her in that environment any longer.
I also feel an indescribable darkness in my soul thinking about the 19 families who won’t ever see their kids graduate.
When will enough be enough?
No real shame in that. It’s a normal human reaction to the situation.
“I can’t believe you’re a sick son-of-a-b**** who would come to a deal like this to make a political issue” is some pretty pathetic posturing by a group of assholes who have already used this tragedy to push their sick “arm the teachers” agenda.
How would Jeanine Pirro react if she had a guest on her show who pulled out a gun while sitting next to or across from her? Would she scream for security (triggered!) or would she keep sipping / gulping her wine?
Oh wait, I’m guessing Fox “News” HQ is a gun-free zone.
Yep, just like the speeches at NRA conventions.
