Cuter than any gummy I’ve ever seen. and amber can be so smoooooooth.
Ah yes, better known in modern circles as the “forbidden gummy bear”.
Following links to sources, I think the best part of this story is that the town near the bog where it was found has an amber guild Słupsk - Pomorskie Prestige
I mean, technically amber is edible…
gummy bears look like it?
Eta spoiler blur because that image really messed me up as a kid.
Yeah, maybe you should drink it instead
… it’s the worms
And that screeching violin sound they made. ((shivers))
… I tried to spoiler that worm for you but it just renders them completely invisible
That’s lovely
TIME … TRAVELER … misses her Haribos.
I’d always thought it was Ren’s nerve endings, rather than worms…
3500 years. Isn’t that the shelf-life of a Gummy Bear?
Given that no ontological failsafes triggered to prevent Cymothoa exigua from existing I can’t entirely dismiss the possibility that worms/nerve endings is not a mutually exclusive pairing.
User name checks out.
yup. got that straight from the horse’s mouth. errr… bones.
( although i guess it’s kind of a myth… i had to look it up but gelatin is mostly cattle bones and pig skin, and not from horses. weirds me out that the eu and us decided bse from gelatin is low risk, so skulls and brains are totally okay too. eek! )
