Amazon has a “Verified Buyer” system, where reviews are marked with a badge confirming that the reviewer actually purchased the product.
i think there should be a similar system in place for comments - a “Verified Reader” badge that confirms whether the commenter has/hasn’t read the source before commenting.
tl;dr: after reading the article, i’m not sure i would have glibly posted a funny Nadine gif. that’s a sad story.
