Note to Self: The DMV plate ban list is the place to find great boat names.
Lots of perverts, and one very disappointed Arizona Boba Fett fan.
33MTA3 seems like an innocuous combination of letters and numbers. Until you see them in a rear view mirror.
Really, shouldn’t that be “Until you see them through the looking glass”

A clever license plate can be fun.
But these sophomoric. scatological and tasteless license plates are even better.
Done my duty one this…
when I was in college a hundred years ago or so, some boys thought they were very clever for getting California to issue them a UFRCAR license plate.
No mention of 6UALDV8.
My brother named his pontoon boat the Isle of Mann (he even has a large flag that he flies off the back, so it’s quite distinctive). A close second was Flounder Pounder.
Banned? Maybe you gotta fight for your right…
Hats off to whoever came up with this brilliant tag. Hats. Off.
My jaw dropped when I discovered that this plate was actually issued in CA:
ETA: OK, apparently this is not a difficult plate to get and DMV employees do not watch Arrested Development:
I’m a little disappointed, if not surprised, that KOTEX wasn’t allowed.
And this thread wouldn’t be complete without the best random plate:

You can often get away with curses in non-English languages: there is guy in Boston I’ve seen with “PIZDETS” as his license plate.
I always thought “QQQQ” was clever wordplay…
When I was in high school one one of the french teachers had the plate “MERDE”.
Back in pre-Internet days Harper’s ran a piece about someone who retold classic stories using only CA personalized license plates, and published one of them, Oedipus Rex. It was an interesting and wonderful thing.
That’s a shitty thing to do!
