I once tried to make a joke about how in Japanese with its million different counters that you should use the “stick-shaped things” (本) counter for eels rather than “small animals” (匹) or “fish” (尾) counters only to find out that you indeed use the “stick-shaped things” counter for eels.

For me, egg and salad are two words don’t belong together.

I understand that’s probably wrong for many other people, far enough, but for me, nope.
