There’s so much to unpack here. First, how can any person that considers themselves Republican think this is even remotely ok. If Obama was going to use eminent domain to protect a forest from clear cutting, the Fox News crowd would be up in arms about government overreach. But here’s Trump literally saying “take the land by any means necessary, and damn the consequences because I’ll just pardon you.” And you want to guess who he’s likely to be taking land from? Ranchers and farmers – you know, his big supporters.
This just boggles the mind.
