Profitable personally but I can also see some sense in the idea that a Trump defeat at the polls is going to be better for everyone compared to impeachment.

The appeal of impeachment is that there is opportunity to expose him for what he is, so his followers can see and turn their backs on him. Realize that they were wrong to ever vote for him in the first place. This is not actually likely to happen.

The literal goal of impeachment is to formally investigate the President and make public his misdeeds, corruption, and lawless behavior.

Itā€™s not to remove him from office.

If Ms Pelosi thinks that itā€™s not in the public interest for the Congress to hold the President accountable for being a terrible President, she is a terrible leader of Congress.
