It’s not too often I can write this but…
Buzzfeed for the win.
It’s deja vu all over again.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said Trump told the Russian president that the special counsel had found “no collusion” between his campaign and Russia in the 2016 election.

I didn’t know the Onion had sister sites!
Hey apologists, tell us again how white nationalism is a fringe movement. A news anchor straight up asks if Baltimore mayors were corrupt because they were black. And it was a rhetorical question, so she’s actually saying they were. This doesn’t even qualify as a dog whistle. It’s blatantly racist. Yet if you call them on it they refuse to acknowledge the very things they’ve just said.
“Are poor people poor because they’re bad people?”
“So you’re saying poor people are bad people?”
“No, that’s not what I’m saying!”
As much as I loathe their bigotry, the thing I find most pathetic about these lickspittles is their utter lack of even a shred of integrity. They seem under the misconception that their gaslighting fools anyone except maybe the not-personally-bigoted enablers in their own camp.
I have rarely seen a more maddening headline. Who thinks that Trump will be demure and retiring in any scenario where he loses, let alone one where Democrats are running in a way where they’re not pushing against the Right?
Anyone who thinks Il Douche will calmly surrender power after an electoral loss has not been paying attention. Especially considering that said power is the only reason he is not facing jail time right now. No, if you think we are currently in a constitutional crisis, you just hide and watch.
Nobody.
Pelosi doesn’t work for you; she works for her donors. And those donors would rather lose to Trump than win with the left.
They find Trump to be embarrassingly déclassé, but their profits under the Trumpist GOP are as healthy as ever. They’d prefer a return to neoliberal plutocracy for the sake of aesthetics, but they’re willing to accept fascism in order to keep wages low and military spending high.
“I love those short sleeves,” said the president. Mulkey responded by saying that, “It may not be the right size but maybe Melania will wear it.”
Trump replied, “You know I love those short sleeves, such beautiful arms,” he said while stroking his own arm to demonstrate, to laughter as the president smiled and commented “great definition.”
Until last week, the website said the office’s mission was to “improve the health and well-being of people across the nation” and to ensure people have equal access to health care services provided by HHS. But the new statement repositions the OCR as a law enforcement agency that enforces civil rights laws, and conscience and religious freedom laws, and “protects that exercise of religious beliefs and moral convictions by individuals and institutions.”
The push toward Christian Sharia law continues.
“Affecting immigrant veterans, refugees, asylees… pregnant women and children.” Shit.
And the effort to tighten the rules could affect thousands of immigrant veterans, refugees and asylees, who are eligible to receive many benefits without time restrictions. Active members of the military would not be affected.
Express deportation if they try to use any of their veterans benefits then.
I guess ‘blaming political correctness’ is the new “Old Man Yells At Cloud”
Also, years of looking at Kentucky Fried Chicken buckets did not help him to learn to spell Kentucky
This is what happens when you never learn good sportsmanship in school, including the basic requirement that you never argue with the referee/umpire/official.
One thing I’ve been thinking about lately with Trump’s whataboitism with his whole “why didn’t Obama do something about the Russians in 2016” argument: isn’t that basically a tacit admission that there was Russian meddling in the election? How is it that this doesn’t further question his legitimacy? Or is this just more 5D chess that I’m too dumb to comprehend.
Trump is now actively floating the idea that he deserves to have an extra two years added to his term because the past two were “stollen” by the Mueller probe.
Well, at least he’s not a Berliner*.
*History/politics joke.
