Dems are probably assuming they’ll receive advance notice of the trial. Watch Mitch take delivery, say a warm thank you, and walk straight to the podium and begin.
It’s going to be a goddamned made for TV shitstorm.
Get me off of this rock.
Good for them. Coal country used to be a radical place, glad to see there is still some of that there.
Roberts might have a thing or two to say about that.
Mitch is used to running the show, but he might find it different under Roberts rather than Charles Grassley and his Pocket Pence.
As I understand it, he needs only 51 votes to overturn anything Roberts might decide. That should slow the process down a smidge, anyway.
The other billionaire in the Democratic race, Tom Steyer, released today an ad that takes a direct hit at Trump where it hurts the most.
“When he calls himself a billionaire businessman who’s good for the economy, I’ll remind him I’m an actual billionaire with a ‘B’, and he’s a fake billionaire with a capitol ‘C’, for ‘con man’, ‘crook’ and ‘criminal’.”
NC being a testing ground for GOP fuckery, expect something similar to this during the trial:
In NC the majority republican congress passed an unconscionable budget last year which was vetoed by the (democrat) governor. They’re 1 vote short of overriding the veto and have been pulling tricks ever since. They started by calling sessions at random times and then immediately going back into recess after roll calls showed that all of the democrats were present. They’ve now given up on that and have just started approaching any democrat who isn’t facing a primary challenge with bribes.
Um… there are people who still care about Vince Vaughn?
His hayday has been over already, for a while now…
An interesting snapshot of how Russian disinformation is propagated:
Tass (Russian) => Globalresearch (Canadian Conspiracy Theory Site) => NYPost (US Rag) … onwards and downwards…
Yeah. This news makes me feel much better about Season 2 of True Detective.
I didn’t even know he’d been in anything recent.
He did an okay-ish job, but most any actor could have risen to the occasion.
Assault rifles and an armoured vehicle. For a bunch of housing activists staging a non-violent sit-in.
Niemöller has been chanting his poem for a very long time now. He’s getting tired.
Here we go again.
