Trump would fail a basic civics test with all of the correct answers highlighted for him. Anyone still trying to ascribe some 12-dimensional chess maneuverings to his behavior is overthinking things at a truly galaxy-brain level.
Trump’s lived most of his life using the courts and the appeal system to stall things or get what he wants; I think he views any judgement of himself through the “I’ll just have a lawyer handle it” lens. What’s especially weird about this and other GOP saying that impeachment is impossible due to the ‘absence of high crimes and misdemeanors’ is that they’ve all apparently forgotten President Bill Clinton, still alive and well, husband of the winner of the popular vote two years ago.
We won’t know until the end of June if this SCOTUS hold will stop Michigan and Ohio redistricting. SCOTUS took up cases from North Carolina and Maryland that may decide the Michigan and Ohio cases when they publish the opinion.
I was just thinking, if the many other terrible presidents before him were a contact high from being ‘shotgunned,’ then 45 is like a direct hit taken to the face on a dab rig.
Specifically, he wrote in a 2015 study commissioned by the Washington Free Beacon, a conservative news website, that adding a citizenship question to the census “would clearly be a disadvantage to the Democrats” and “advantageous to Republicans and Non-Hispanic Whites” for future redistricting efforts.
They are pretty much being open about this shit now, at least amongst themselves, and Trump has brought it all more into the open.
That’s honestly what makes him stand out to me. I thought the excuses for praise were weak with Bush II’s “affability” but what is there to praise about Trump? He… appears to have a metabolism! Let’s hear it for that I guess? He’s like a sentient puddle of human folly.
Yup this. I can find a modicum of good things to say about Nixon, Reagan, and Bush the Lesser and Greater for example. I can’t find a single positive or redeeming thing to say about Trump (other than that he’ll likely die in my lifetime).
Oh, man, when they start throwing around catch phrases that have no definition, you know they are getting ready to throw some serious repressive shot down. JK, that is when they get up in the morning. This is just more meaningless gobbledygook to signal their base. You knew it would be evil or they would not be doing it.
The Trump administration plans to launch a new panel to offer "fresh thinking” on international human rights and “natural law,” a move some activists fear is aimed at narrowing protections for women and members of the LGBT community.
I dare say minorities should be more concerned too, considering this mob.
