šŸ–• šŸŠ 🤔 A Continuing Round-Up of Trumpian Events šŸ–• šŸŠ 🤔

you all notice ā€œThe Trump administrationā€ is doing a LOT while he’s in the UK and can’t possibly be paying attention to all these divisive issues… I get the sense there’s a lot that happens with his advisors behind the scenes. Like Stephen Miller is running the show right now or something. just a thought… hm…

I read that whole thing, and it makes sense, but there sure is an exception: Putin. Putin owns Trump and Trump doesn’t seem to mind.

Also, I note that the point of cleaving people off to find the people who will back you isn’t to turn people into that, it’s to find the people who will do that. This was in their basic character their whole lives.

True, but I don’t think that really works against the theory. Trump has a weird obsequious attachment to actual strong-men like Putin, Kim Jong-Il, and Duterte. I don’t think he has any desire to ensure that they’re on his side, he just wants to be part of the club they’re already in.

Meanwhile, in Ireland, Eric Trump manages to give probably not the answer he thinks he’s giving:

He has fans?

Or is that literal like an Egyptian pharaoh being accompanied by fanbearers?

Yeah, I never really meant it to be against the point of the article, just a notable exception.

I was thinking about it last night and it occurred to me that with Trump this whole building-a-cult thing is kind of an evolved cunning that came out of how our society promotes narcissism in wealthy people. With Putin it’s probably far more studied and practiced, which means Putin is about to take different approaches with different people.

But that doesn’t explain Kim or Duterte. You’re probably right that Trump just sees that as the ā€œin crowdā€ and wants to join them.

Well I guess Trump was correct saying he had supporters out in force in the UK… erm, a single supporter. Let’s take a look at how that supporter’s counter protest went…

Ah, the comments section on an LBC reporter’s twitter feed.

As wretched a hive of scum and villainy as Mos Eisley.

I think it is safe to say we actually need no further proof that he is an idiot. He could please stop now?

Could it be referring to her as " a great piece of tail?"

I feel confident that was not the most offensive thing he said to her. Power must be a hell of a drug, to keep her tolerating that shit so long.

If she does, impeachment is step one on that path.

I do not agree with Pelosi’s strategy, but I recognize that it is a strategy. Pelosi believes that not impeaching is their best chance of winning 2020 and doesn’t see any chance of removing Trump before 2020. But is Pelosi’s dream scenario that Biden’s DOJ puts Trump in prison? That hardly surprises me.

The Trump family are drinking in Ireland, on the US taxpayer dollar I presume:

Good to see they are all about the important stuff.

Then there was this from the article (emphasis mine):

Last month, however, The Washington Post reported that President Trump was pressing officials to paint the barriers black so that they would absorb heat and become too hot for migrants to climb.
