šŸ–• šŸŠ šŸ¤” A Continuing Round-Up of Trumpian Events šŸ–• šŸŠ šŸ¤”

The Washington Post-ABC News poll was conducted over telephone

this cannot do other than skew ( screw? ) the demographics.

Among all 1,008 respondents, the poll had a margin of error of +/-3.5 percentage points. On questions where less than the entire sample was asked, the margin of error ranged from +/-4 percentage points to +/-5.5 percentage points.

1008 responses. of people with phones. how do you even measure a margin of error that way?

also, how many people fell into the latter rate. they donā€™t say. if it was most, then their headline rate 5 percentage points increase falls within their margin of error ( 5.5 percentage points )

while granted i donā€™t know much about statistics, it doesnā€™t seem particularly meaningful to me.

Iā€™m certain itā€™s because Garrison is a diehard Trump sycophant. The fact that Trump will overlook any faults as long as you continue to kiss his ass is the dangerous part. Whether you be a racist cartoonist no one takes seriously or a murderous despot leader. itā€™s the same thing.

I guess the Dumb Leader is getting upset with his State Run Media arm

Most people probably have phones.

But, on the other hand, most people no longer answer phone calls from numbers they donā€™t recognize.

So, a sample of a thousand lonely weirdos with nothing better to do

Landline telephones? Or do they call cell phones now?

my bad. the stats at the bottom say ā€œtelephoneā€, which i out of habit shortened to ā€œphone.ā€ ive never heard ā€œtelephoneā€ used for ā€œcellphoneā€, and historically cellphones were excluded from surveys for reasons, so i assume landline.

iā€™d probably need to do more digging before that could be considered as fact ( that itā€™s not clear is itself a problem with the poll. )

the other points still stand.

1,800 seems a very small sample size for ā€œamericansā€ ( they offer no information on how they choose their group to match actual demographics. ) and their reported increase may well be within their own reported margin of error ( which they donā€™t point out clearly because then thereā€™d be no headline to report. )

[edit]

pew seems to include cellphones in telephones. this article from february says the response rate is at an all time low of 6% of calls

Oh to have Fox Newz turn against Trump!

(Unlikely, I know, but wouldnā€™t it be nice.)

Hitler probably trash talked Goebbels every now and then, but I donā€™t think Goebbels ever trash talked Hitler.

If Fox ever turned, itā€™d be quite amusing. They have lots of ammo.

ā€œRemember when he attended Chelsea Clintonā€™s wedding?ā€
ā€œHere are some clips of him as President advocating Gun Controlā€
ā€œLook at him with his big city Rich New Yorker moneyā€
ā€œHe claims he owns a gun, but we have never seen it!ā€
ā€œHe is a self-professed child of IMMIGRANTSā€

It does seem that there is a very strong negative correlation between calling oneself ā€œChristianā€ and acting in a way anyone would recognize as such. As an aside, I have decided that somewhere along the line, particularly the evangelicals somehow decided that the Pharisees were the good guys in the book they claim to revere. My own reading of the same book would suggest otherwise.
