As an American, I feel like I have to offer apologies and explanations to the rest of the world that the strange right-wing fringe group in our country who call themselves “evangelicals” are actually extraordinarily evil people who work against every single thing Jesus and the Bible say, have nothing to do with churches or religion, and are in it for the money.

He previously told the Gazette Journal that “the company managers are history buffs and recognize that the original Imperial German flag had no racist, alt-right, or neo-Nazi meaning.”

Because all the cool bus companies use the Imperial German flag, right? That’s the lamest bullshit excuse I’ve ever heard.

eta: Seriously, why didn’t he just add the damned swastika and claim the managers were history buffs and Hindu-fans, absolutely not nazi…?

Such as publicly insulting AOC and the other freshman representatives of color who seem to be doing most of the heavy lifting at the moment?

That’s pretty much the Imperial Navy’s War Ensign as used from 1903-1919.

Because members of the far right have used the imperial war flag as a symbol, its use is considered to be a “breach of the public order” in seven states, and flags could be confiscated. In the other nine states, any provocative misuse of the flag can be prosecuted as an Ordnungswidrigkeit [de] (“act contrary to order”, an administrative offence that can be handled without a court process and that carries only a fine that is not legally considered a punishment). 1)

The Imperial Flag was just your standard horizontal tricolour in black, white and red.

1) I’ll have to look into that; I was under the impression it was a Public-order-crime nationwide. Maybe there are petitions to make it so. If not, time to write some letters.
The whole Nazi crap is downright illegal (Strafgesetzbuch section 86a) outside of educational, artistic or scientific contexts.

If I believed that she/they were actually getting work down ie bills passed and turned into laws well, then and only then, would I even begin to buy into her level of bullshit. So far, it’s just pass anything they can in the house, because they can, only to see it hit the ass end of the Senate and fall into the Potomac and promptly eaten by an invasive Snakehead.

How can this be enforced? You can’t see who a particular twitter user as blocked, right?

Moreso than past presidents, without oversight, things are not going to change.

You don’t need to log in to read it, and it’s worth seeing how the religious groups that are the foundation of the current U.S. right wing movement operate even against their own people.

I sure they have to be tight with their shoestring budget.

Hmm. Jerry Jr had a 7-digit compensation in 2016, and I’m sure that’s not the only pie he has his fingers in.

Indeed not.

Falwell subsequently barnstormed with Trump and vouched for the candidate’s Christian virtues.

I suppose an outsider’s viewpoint can be useful.

Yep, I’m sure a federal agency that had a third of its employees participating in a secret racist Facebook group is absolutely committed to treating those in their custody with dignity and respect. And I’m completely certain that an agency with that sort of problem will also totally investigate allegations of the sexual assault of a minor with the utmost integrity, honesty, and transparency.
