It also totally doesn’t undermine the already shaky foundation of Pelosi’s “stop fighting on Twitter, bag on people with (anonymous) quotes to newspaper reporters like a team player” directive.

Don’t be mean. Pence went to a lot of trouble to manufacture that moment.
During Acosta’s resignation speech, Trump had a very bizarre moment in which he yelled that he has “constitutional rights at a level nobody has ever seen before” due to Article II of the Constitution. This is the same article that he’s previously said “lets me do whatever I want”.
Unless he drops dead he has basically telegraphed (repeatedly) any number of constitutional crises.
The only question is at one point does he become impeachable enough for first centrists of the left wing, and then the right?
