Fascist followers never register the utter contempt with which their movement leaders regard them, even when the consequences are near-fatal. The crowds are nothing more than disposable props.

As for the mayor of this or any host city who is supposedly obliged to provide support services for the rallies, his constituents are more likely owed money by the deadbeat campaign.

The corporate media outlets really need to be held to account for this situation, which in his case has been going on since the bloody 1980s. Without them he’d just be the incompetent nepo-baby head of another shady local NYC real estate family, like the Kushners or the Dursts.

Wouldn’t help with regards to cable news, though I suspect that there can and should regulation of cable, too. But certainly, the end of the fairness doctrine opened up all sorts of shit on the radio with regards to the right wing…

For those folks, I like to point out that a business would be focused on increasing revenue, not decreasing it. Then, show them the line between that and the Republicans lowering taxes and defunding the IRS…

Trump’s Bund rally at Madison Square Gardens was so racist, even reliably Republican-friendly Axios didn’t bother sugarcoating it. (I’m sure the NYT and WaPo will find good things to say about it.)
