There was a whole other thread discussing the silliness of attributing predictive powers to this fish but this description is especially nonsensical, at least per my current understanding of how time works.

Maybe it should be renamed: Orfish. “Or” injects the notion of a possibility of some disaster taking place or not. 
Totally not a harbinger of doom and destruction…
