I dunno, but I’ve noticed that the letter “H” seems to travel easily.

I think this is why I still have trouble spelling “Buddha” and Buddhist”:

(boy, that took me down memory lane…)

ETA: not to mention that Buddhism is the official religion of Bhutan…no wonder I never know where the H the h goes

i love that idea but it’s a bit much. not every language is english, not every written language has letters, not every person reads the same, not every word is read the same way. and of course it’s possible to read that text but it’s slower than spelled correctly

i still sound out words i don’t know, especially people’s names.

i still can’t believe whole language learning is even a thing. word sounds have meaning. ( hello latin, and i suppose several others )

just because english is nonsensical, doesn’t mean reading it should be. ( grumble, grumble )
