Pancake batter and waffle batter are not the same thing. They do use the same ingredients, but in different proportions!

With that much sugar, butter, and eggs in their recipe, that’s waffle batter—not pancake batter—just saying.

Exactly! I don’t like waffles for this reason. I’m a pancake person because waffle batter tastes weird to me.

That said, I can’t be mad at any attempted innovation in the competitive and important field of all-day breakfast food.
