A psychotic rogue Japanese otter mascot concerns city officials

He would have liked what I found at the Osaka ferry terminal restaurant:

My reaction to this was simply ‘wut?’

I found this in a Thai shopping mall some years ago.

Love the fact it costs ‘99 Bath’ as well…

This one on the Tokyo subway confused me:

Haven’t tried to translate it, but maybe all their other dishes use LIVE? Wouldn’t surprise me…

This quote won’t age well, when he does exactly that in 2021 as part of a ticket giveaway/spontaneous expression of solidarity.

You’ve tied him to a chair! Were you holding him for ransom?

Nah, think of it more as a seat belt - he was so pissed he kept falling off!

This was in one of the souvenir shops on the slope below Kumamoto Castle, had a nice taster flight of shochu at the bar behind the bear :tumbler_glass::tumbler_glass::tumbler_glass:

His fundraising skills as mentioned in the John Oliver piece are really important to the prefecture, as they continue to rebuild the castle and other parts damaged in the 2016 earthquake. I was oddly disappointed to have missed the latest quake, it happened a day or so after I left there - 3rd January I think - would have been an experience for sure, luckily this time it was much smaller and only minor damage
was reported.

That doesn’t even remotely resemble a real otter. A real one wouldn’t be caught dead in that hat.

Can they, tho?
