I just don’t get what 45 thinks will happen if he fires Mueller.
It won’t make the Russian collusion investigation ‘just go away’, and it only serves to make him look even more guilty than he already does.
All I can think of is that he probably thinks that his base will love it. “Stick’n it to 'th man!” they’ll probably say in front of their rebel flags and Nazi memorabilia.
(What I don’t get is why there wasn’t or isn’t a rapid response demonstration over this bullshit tax scam that is going to pass this week? )
Especially as he’s not legally allowed to fire Mueller.

I’m confused – what do you get out of that exchange, and why do you think it’s worth sharing?
I first read it as Cusack implying that he was already a member. Some comments suggest that may not be the case, though (although the DSA will be working hard to correct that if so).
I’m mostly just mildly amused. Cusack is one of the few mainstream celebs who has not so far shown himself to be a douche. The DSA doesn’t want or need rich white dudes as patrons or leaders, but I’m happy for folks like Cusack to be a regular dues-paying member.
It suggests to me that the DSA is beginning to gain mass-scale visibility and popularity. Still baby steps, but the trajectory is there.
Yeah, he’s always struck me as pretty cool. Wish he’d stick his neck out a little further, though, and more often.
