The big give-away is the use of complete, coherent sentences and greater-than-a-third-grade-reading-level quality of vocabulary. If he even knows that “defile” is a word, he probably thinks it has something to do with burning incriminating evidence kept in filing cabinets.
Other than that… basically yeah.
