A Round Up of Resistance to Trump (Part 1)

The article mentions the fascist groups, but doesn’t mention the far-right Republican groups that smooth the way for those groups onto campus, pays for speakers like Milo.

ETA: Sorry, I missed another story where they were covered:

Strippers protest gun laws by pretending to sell AR-15 — and Tea Partier who gave away real AR-15 freaks out

Several exotic dancers in Nashville tried to prove a point about easy access to deadly weapons — and drew complaints from a NRA-backed Republican candidate.

Dancers from Déjà Vu Showgirls set up a booth Tuesday near their club with a sign offering “Couch Dances: $15. AR-15: $1,100,” reported WSMV-TV.

The women wanted to show that it’s easier to buy a military-style rifle — which requires no background check, waiting period or license — than get a job as a nude dancer.

“The newly open seat was held by former Rep. Tim Murphy (R-PA) since 2003, who was so secure in his seat that he often failed to attract a Democratic challenger. Murphy suddenly resigned in October amid revelations that he had pressured a woman with whom he was having an extramarital affair to have an abortion.”

“(gerrymandering) changes won’t kick in by March 13, so Lamb and Pennsylvania Democrats have extra incentive to see if they can pull off a long-shot campaign in a district where the odds are still stacked against them. They feel confident, and cautiously optimistic.”

What are the legitimate uses of “automated tweets?” What exactly does that mean? Is this just other clients using the Twitter API?

Man If Democrats do sweep in, I hope they don’t get all comfy and forget to finish the job on Gerrymandering…

I’m not a Twitter user but, (I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night) automating Twitter feeds and postings via third party apps is common and legit but, when used for evil…

App Examples:

Hypegrowth is the best tool for automated followings.

Buffer. & Hootsuite - Schedule your content to be shared over the course of the week rather than staying glued to your device.

MixBloom for curated content suggestions straight to your Buffer account.

Tweetchat & Twubs for Twitter chats

Audiense for researching target audience and just about everything

Right Relevance for finding influencers in your space

SocialOomph or Postplanner for creating so called containers that circulate your content FOREVER.

Feedly or Digg Reader for finding content from the people you follow

Canva for creating amazing graphics easily

Sniply for sharing external links with your popup inside them.

As you might imagine the Russians and others are probably using similar tools to do all of the above and more for evil. So, Twitter wants to limit the apps functionalities.

DAMN. I knew sponsors gave discounts to members, but that is some next level shit. Does Hertz give you a getaway car after you shoot up your office complex? Does Fedex offer to deliver your gun to a river after you shoot someone?
