It’s weird that so far the reaction I’ve seen has been “…welp”.
After all the vicious fights over the ACA, they just quietly removed over 16 million people from their healthcare in a run-around clause tucked into a tax bill. And there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it but not have insurance anymore.
What pisses me off is how pleased Trump seems to be about lying about this, knowing that it would anger most Americans. He’s literally celebrating the fact that he screwed over Americans, and thinks nobody knew. His exact quote: “We didn’t want to bring it up. I told people specifically 'be quiet with the fake news media because I don’t want them talking too much about it. Because I didn’t know how people would - but now that it’s approved, I can say the individual mandate has been repealed.”
Depends on your opinion of FAIR since they are pretty much the single citation for chain migration figures outside other “nonprofits” using “real” “data.”
