Even now, faced with straightforward evidence that the Trump administration is steering hard towards prison camps and pogroms, I still find it hard to credit.

The USCIS links you posted confirm my piecemeal impression that if you arrived in this country under your own power, you stay here on the sufferance of the authorities, regardless of what your papers say.
As soon as the world looks away from what’s going on at the border, the Trump administration will quietly redouble its efforts. The Justice Department will try to gut the Flores Settlement. Children separated from their parents will not be returned; they will disappear into a byzantine maze of tent cities and regulations. More people will be arrested. They will disappear too.
