I agree she shouldn’t have been in there (certainly not routinely). The way I read it, is that Kelly brought her in there because of its (ostensible) isolation.
It’s not like the CoS doesn’t have a private office or anything. Seems kind of strange that he’d have to go to the Situation Room for some extra privacy.
The more I read about this the less sense it makes.
Yep, this just in: (also @JonS)
Moss also expressed surprise that a personnel meeting like this one would have taken place in the Situation Room.
This assumes that the meeting, and the recording of it, actually took place, but judging from the WH’s own response (“how dare she” etc.) it sounds like it did.
Par for the course.
As if it wasn’t obvious before there’s basically no security hygiene whatsoever in the White House and all electronics are probably hacked/compromised multiple times over.
Trump knows this (he himself has stated how onerous the requirements are for secured phones) and is clearly oblivious to it.
It’s a mystery.
I’m sure that there’s no connection.
Ugh, that comments section, though…
This might upset the military-industrial complex a bit.
I assume Lockheed-Martin are briefing their congresspersons and senators right now.
