A taxonomy of those little plastic bread clasps

I find it funny that in the late 90s I worked with an special effects guy that was obessed with bugs and was doing taxonomy of bread clasps. He was the one person at that company I would ever care to talk to again. So when I see this site I do some vague digging and turns out it’s the same guy. lol. There is a picture of him in Bruce Sterling burning man photography book by John Plunkett. I believe Bruce Sterling took the picture. He was a carpet foam super hero.

I have one memory where we would go to the roof of the building and do semaphore trying to make first contact with the other side of the street. (It eventually worked)

They were “thongs” when I was little too, in Michigan in the late 70s & early 80s.

I use them as wire labels - write something identifiable on the back and clip them on the wire.
