Are the motion controls actually good? When I tried to get a third-party switch controller, it worked pretty well but the rotation axes were mapped wrong and it was unusable for motion-aiming.
No disrespect to your daughter, but that thing is ugly as sin, and the d-pad looks painful to use.

About a year ago I bought a third party controller for the Switch as recommended by BoingBoing. It lasted 3 months precisely to the 24 hour period.
I ended buying the official one, expensive, yes, but rock solid performance ever since, all the buttons feel like new after heavy use by myself and my 8 year old son
Third party controllers are a false economy
