However, Baptist Press, which is owned by the Executive Committee, incorrectly reported that Lyell had admitted to being involved in a âmorally inappropriate relationshipâ with her former professor.
However, this is the bigger thing:
Hannah-Kate Williams, a survivor of sexual abuse who has sued the Executive Committee alleging a cover-up of her abuse claims, asked Litton what the committee was doing about ongoing complaints of abuse.
There are lots more survivors out there. How they deal with this, and prevent future issues, will answer the question. I am not very hopeful, as this is a very conservative, patriarchal denomination, but I guess we shall see.

Why is âmethod actorâ the description most commonly used for men who behave like this on movie sets? Either they are so terrible at acting that they canât turn it off when the cameras arenât rolling, or theyâre really just misogynist assholes 24/7/365 and âmethod actorâ is the excuse for their behavior.
