I’m in favor of a manual, as long as it comes with an instruction manual.

I think that it’s imprudent to assume people will know how to use the instruction manual without some kind of guidelines. I think we will need an interactive help video application to explain proper usage of the instruction manual or we’re just asking for trouble.

Well I haven’t been actually but it’s only because I haven’t got any training on how to use the email calendaring system and I don’t want to rely on rumors from colleagues about the meeting schedule. Besides, that’s the only time I can get anything done at my desk.

While you still need an annual Smug Check, as long as you have the proper paperwork and license, moderate smug is allowed. Homemade kludges and other bodged up tools

Who else uses a finishing nail with the head cut off as a drill bit? This is useful when drilling at awkward angles where a slight misalignment can break a small bit. This was my standard kludge when doing projects with children that involved drilling pilot holes, because few eight-year-olds can use a 1/16" bit without snapping it. eta: No, smartasses, I wasn’t drilling pilot holes in children. What do you take me for?

I made a kept making a spelling mistake while typing the word membrane the other day. This led to a new word memebrane. Anyone else got accidental words they want to put on the word market.
