And so we’re here again-The Loophole by Garfunkel and Oates - YouTube
But those infertile couples and post-menopausal people aren’t real, entire humans so it doesn’t matter, silly! /s
Clearly, they’re using the term wrong!
But in comparison to the show, I’d say she’s more a Serena Joy - more an architect of the thing…
Yeah… I found it pretty good and can see where they’re going to go with the sequel series based on that.
Oh, that’s certainly the case.
Except it’s more a foghorn now. They are openly saying this shit because they believe they’ve already won.
Some of us have been in fact saying that for a long time, and have been called hysterical or bigots against the far right white evangelicals who have been advocating for an ethno-theocracy.
And that led to the ensuing blood baths that followed.
Feels like “will lead to bloodbaths” is the intent behind a lot of GOP-led legislation these days.
Sho’ you right.
Though they never seem to think that any of the blood shed will be theirs…
and the words were spoken for all to hear: MIND YOUR OWN GODDAM BUSINESS
My God is powerful enough that he can make the condom slip if it within His Great Plan. After all, He made the heavens and Earth, all things seen and unseen. It would be no big deal for Him.
I am always surprised that people should worship a deity without that kind of power.
Meanwhile, Zeus be like: “Of course I put the condom on, baby.”
This is a cool idea but unfortunately the book is far from indestructible. The pages are made of an aluminum-based material, and aluminum melts at about 660 degrees. Better than the 451 degrees it takes to burn paper, but still well below the 900 degrees or so of a medium sized camp fire. So if you were burning a large pile of paper books and threw this in it probably wouldn’t last very long.
i had to look that up and apparently yeah, even the edges of a paper fire can be 800 degrees and the center 1500(!)
i like this line of thinking. “you mean your god can’t see the future and avoid giving souls to fetal cells from an abortion?” not a very powerful god after all, i guess
[edit] and when they respond, “god lets people make that choice”. then the proper response is: “then why are you taking pregnant people’s choices away?”
