A Twitter worker didn't know if he still worked there. He finally got an answer from Elon Musk on Twitter: "🤣🤣"

How many zeroes on the future settlement check?

Hopefully more than enough to ensure his family’s comfort, feed the tax revenues of Iceland, and build a lot of ramps.

I guess he hasn’t fired all the lawyers yet, because someone clearly explained what a terrible idea it is to publicly announce that you are firing a disabled person because they are disabled.

I’m surprised he listened to them.

Yeah, the grilling by Elno was clearly not because he didn’t know, but because he did know, but saw this as an opportunity to dunk on a laid off employee (to prove he was right in laying him off). But Musk is never in the right, so…

Also, while Twitter is now a privately held corporation, I wonder who has how much stock, how significant those options are, and who among the private holders is willing to pay to pick up more of it?

A lot to unpack here. First he publicly disclaims this person’s disability, openly discriminates against someone with a disability (IANAL, but both of these things seem like they be illegal), mocks their disability, minimizes it, and then to top it all off, shows a complete disregard and lack of understanding around assistive technologies.

(And to be clear I have no idea who this person is or what disability they may have, but there’s a whole lot of wrong here.)

IIRC Elon Musk owns 100% of Twitter stock, but he took out massive loans to buy the company, and he has transferred the debt to Twitter itself.
