Adorable pigs go through animated factory slaughterhouse

It’s not just a representation of a slaughterhouse, it’s the whole factory farming process. They exit the back end of mama pig’s pen, have their tails docked, and then get an infusion of antibiotics and hormones to make them grow.

On real farms they dock tails to stop tail biting in the pens. It gets crowded as they grow and once they start biting it could lose a farmer an entire batch because it spreads through the group and can cause bad injuries. No tail, no biting.

To quote Otto Von Bismark:
“Laws are like sausages, it is better not to see them being made.”

Usually used as a dig on politics but works well on sausages as well!

When I grow up, I want to go to Bovine University.
