To quote @redesigned, “German porn is so weird.”

I remember seeing this some 25 ish years ago
One of the first ever internet vids. So glad to see it’s still making the rounds

Forklift driver Klaus is excellent! Bloody, but hilarious!

I had no idea that forklifts were powered by whirling chainsaws until this day. Huh!

Delighted that a German Tarantino has dipped into the corporate safety video genre.

Evidently the narrator spent decades doing real driving-safety film narrations, and is parodying himself.

Made me a bit randy, wink wink.

Ah yes, this is a true internet classic

My first laugh from this is always the reminder that the German word for forklift is “Stapler”. Yes, I know it’s pronounced differently. But still it makes me giggle.

Evokes memories of the Monty Python sketch “Salad Days”, only less bloody and with more forklifts.

I’ve seen this referenced so many times on BB, but never got round to watching it (gore isn’t my thing).

But bloody (literally) hell - that’s f’kn hilarious :joy:

(and of course a very serious workplace training video).

Absolutely - and don’t forget, Python did a whole episode in German (Fliegender Zirkus) due to their popularity there, complete with the German version of the Lumberjack Song:

Can’t even count the number of times over the years I’ve watched this video (though I try and find a version with English dubbing or subs). I never get tired of it, and no one has ever not liked it.

People always think its fun to make jokes about needing a forklift certification, but then you haven’t seen a forklift run a guy through before… punk!

Seriously, internet has broken me as I laughed more than would probably be considered appropriate during this video.

I’d never heard of this - watched the full episode now now, thanks for this. Or should I say danke schön.

Good to see this come around once again on BB.

I’m not sure if this was targeted for ‘straight to the inter-webs’ as it is pretty common on the ground as a safety ISA (Internal Service Announcement)… Has quite a bit of traction in the ‘real’ world of OH&S in factories here in Australia.

On a side note, I was working at a stadium music event and noticed that the fork lift drivers all had a plastic water bottle on the palettes they were shunting around at great speed and with great skill. A driver explained it was a common game to see who could move the fastest without losing the bottle!

Which makes the video even funnier, because it wasn’t made as an actual safety film. It was made as a parody of gory safety training videos.

Elektriker Horst is at least superficially similar, but I don’t think it involves the same people.
