The video ads at the bottom of the page play sound even when muted. (Chrome, Windows 10, see attached image where you can see mute but the audio symbol on the tab)
But the weird thing is they play very very quietly. I don’t mind ads (gotta pay the bills), but it’s just odd hearing whispers coming through my headphones.
This isn’t supposed to happen. We don’t allow autoplaying Ads. I’ll let the correct people know.
In the future, though, this isn’t the best way to report these (you’re essentially using me as a relay), better to email badad@boingboing.net
