The cruelty really is the point.
This has to be emphasised again and again and again. At least a quarter of the electorate in this country looks at these photos and videos of small children crying for their mothers and fathers and react by smirking and saying “good”. If the Dems allow them to prevail in 2020, out of complacency or fear of offending them or not taking them seriously, this is going to get a lot worse.

I know Trump supporters won’t be moved by the plight of homeless, hungry immigrant children but if the Feds get serious about cracking down on anyone who hires undocumented immigrants it’s going to lead to food shortages for EVERYONE.
It’s almost impossible to overstate how much American agriculture depends on migrant labor.

So, we used how many resources at what cost do do this as well? Months of planning, salaries, and supplies for this?

Not to mention this was done by Bush all the way back in 2007. With the same company. A Koch company. They really haven’t seemed to have learned any lesson.

Here in Virginia they cracked down on “illegal immigrants” working in crab picking operations along the Chesapeake Bay.
Now they have a shortage of pickers.
