It may not surprise you that he voted to allow Russia to keep selling oil to the US:
(Gaetz, Greene, Boebert, Gosar and Gohmert also voted to keep funding Putin).

Someone asked Jen if she wanted to comment on his remark.
“No, next question.”
One of these things is not like the other…
Don’t forget, the “(R)” after their names specifies their affiliation. Some believe it stands for “Republican”.
It’s truly stunning how hard the GQP is stanning Russia.
You’d think, at worst, they’d be stridently neutral.
But, I think they just can’t help themselves. When Democrats were “for” vaccines and health, they fell over themselves to advocate against vaccines and for death. So, no surprise, as soon as Democrats are “for” Ukraine, they must ally themselves with Russia and war atrocities.
I mean, they can’t be, unless they are in their 90s because the NSDAP hasn’t issued any party memberships since '45. In German discourse at least, the word neo Nazi exists to distinguish the original Nazis from their modern fanboys. It does not imply that they are any less dangerous but a word is needed to make the distinction.
Cawthorne is a neo Nazi who, without a doubt, would have liked to be a Nazi
YMMV, and Germany certainly has a different history with these vermin than the US, but I am not actually referring to membership in a National Socialist party (boy, would MC have a conniption fit over that label!) but adherence to overtly fascist ideology. Nazi has, I guess, loosely speaking, gone through that transition from specific brand name to generic description of an item, like xerox, kleenex and band-aid have. Only a lot more evil, and less useful. But yes, strictly speaking, of course, you are correct.
I mean after they tried to overthrow the US government and create Putin’s Russia here, it’s not like they can be expected to actually admit that even the fucking founding principals and justifications for doing so came from a country whose abject misery and failure due to poor leadership is plastered across the screens of the world. That would make them look stupid.
The good thing is that the word fascist is there for the taking. That one describes modern adherents to the ideology just as well as historical ones.
Maybe I’m old and tired of it, but the political discourse in the US these days often sounds just this childish.
I have the strangest sense that, aside from an odious and factually questionable understanding of world events, Mr. Cawthorn’s analysis may include the (serious) unstated assumption that getting shelled into the ground is an acceptable consequence for ‘woke’ behavior.
y’know… people have been accusing the opposition of “being in league with our enemies” for as long as humans have been politicking. But I’m a reasonably smart person, and I cannot for the life of me come up with an explanation for this behavior OTHER than the idea that these people are legit compromised and actively working as agents for Putin. The evidence is staggering.
I don’t WANT to believe it, but I can’t come up with an alternative accounting for this shit.
Cawthorn especially, given that he’s a proud fascist and married a Russian honeypot with ties to the Kremlin.
Why be neutral, when with just a little less effort they can be themselves?
He went on to explain that from his point of view, the Jedi are evil.
His soon-to-be-ex wife is a crossfit model and probably a less-than-stellar person, but I don’t see anything tying her to Russia.
"Alleged sex offender and useful pretty-boy IDIOT… "
There, fixed that headline.

Forgive the hyperbole. I concede her exact ties to the kremlin are… shall we say… conspiratorial at best, but there’s some shady shit going on here. The stench of a honeypot set-up is STRONG:
Agreed. I mean, typically, if you wanted to get a friend together with a crossfit model who’s eager to meet them you’d say, “hey, there’s this crossfit model who really wants to meet you”. Staging a fake crossfit competition to do so seems unnecessary. But, maybe that’s what people who claim to be US Army Captains that you’ve met in a Russian casino that shouldn’t exist like to do.
Motivated corruption moves faster than people expect. That’s my take. One individual can compromise several others and so on.
