Aluminum Bluetooth speaker for $16

Good to see I’m not the only one with code problems.

Bluedio BS-3: 50 mm drivers

Anker: highly unlikely have drivers larger than 1.83 * 25.4=46.5 mm.

Which probably means that they aren’t terribly efficient even compared to bluedio’s product

I use a Pasce Minirig portable speaker for things like presentations; it can fill a 500-seat lecture hall with pretty good sound. Coupled with a small projector it makes a nice portable theater rig. It is a little pricier than this Anker, however.

Thank you.

The coupon code doesn’t work

I can’t help but wonder how much (read: little) the workers assembling this are paid, given what it’s sold for. Not that it’s that different for more expensive gear - expensive brands use sweatshops just as much as cheap ones. More of a reminder to avoid rampant consumerism and blind tech-optimism, I guess. The “cheap electronics never hurt anyone” mantra is getting old fast - just ask the Chinese workforce or the rivers and fields close to their industrial areas. I don’t think they’d agree.
