And I sure hope he used stainless steel mesh.
Somewhat similar to the process of packing tape painting by artists like Mark Khaisman and Max Zorn, but using screen seems to offer the opportunity for smoother tonal transitions. Bronze wire mesh comes in a variety of finenesses and doesn’t rust.
