Dessert Planet, amirite?
Twelve Angry Peeps.
(@Mister44 beat me to it. Peep of your choice!)
No Cadbury Eggs?!
Our local stores ran out. So despondent.
One of my dad’s long-ago exes had a boy that couldn’t physically tolerate the red dye. I wonder how he’s coping these days…
This guy gets it!
I ate a Peep a couple hours ago - Hot Tamale flavor. Not as hot as the concentrate, but just right for if you blew a regular candy up into a marshmallow. Now I see @ChuckV and @bashful must be paged. LOL
@MagicFox: Lots of people hate the creme eggs. Not me, it’s pretty much the closest I can get to eating a dinosaur egg without suffering serious gastrointestinal consequences. I have a sad for you that they are sold out in your area.
Doesn’t anyone like the marshmallow-filled chocolate bunnies? Am I alone here?
Stand by your bun!
And the eggs, too!
A friend of mine in high school once showed me “peep jousting”:
- You put two of them on a plate and stick a toothpick into each one facing the other.
- Put the plate in a microwave.
- First peep to pop the other as they inflate wins.
Doh - I didn’t even notice the sign the first time!
That’s the good stuff!
You can have mine.
Ditto.
I thought it was going to say to fill them with marshmallow, so it would be harder for them to get bashed in.
The ‘fix a wobbly table’ option is a stroke of genius!
“We need a comprehensive look at this to make sure there aren’t unintended consequences for chocolate and candy companies.”
Unintended consequences… Like cancer?
I’m a little older than you and have maybe eaten two or three more than that. When, I don’t know.
I do seem to remember putting them in the microwave at one point.
I wonder if anyone has cherry-flavored marshmallow filling – or maybe something citrus?
I feel like I have seen cherry and orange flavoring at some point from Russel Stovers, but I may be misremembering. They do make a lot of different flavors and change them up some times for different holidays.
I like them when they are fresh at the beginning of the season and the marshmallow is extra gooey and melty - doesn’t become stretchy as it ages.
