You don’t get to call yourself a local group when you travel 800 miles to stir up shit with people you’ve never met.
It’s good to have goals.

Actually, you’re confusing literally EVERYTHING. The protests going on in North Dakota are trying to prevent Indigenous and public land/water from being abused, marred, and exploited by private interests (oil companies). The Bundy’s “protest” in Malheur was arguing FOR exploitation of Indigenous and public land by private interests (logging, mining, ranching, etc). Capesh?
There is a similarity in the Wildlife Refuge to the Pipeline Protests…
BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA gasp HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
It’s okay if we do it?
The best way to describe the protest: Occupy Outhouse.
This is a very good point. This is how the Powers that Be keep people divided.
YES, there are racial issues.
YES we need to unite and face the true common enemy.
Which in the US happens to be people, usually white and conservative, who believe they have authority because they possess weapons and often an ordination from god.
But they don’t find themselves the common enemy, their “common enemy” is People Unlike Them, be it races they find inferior, immigrants of races they find inferior, or as Dominionists any religions they deem important to wipe from the country and Earth.
Well, the enemy of my enemy is my friend… for now.
When the power structure becomes more homogeneous, then we get into more refined distinctions. I was watching All in the Family the other day, and it was a refresher on all the Caucasian subcategories, Polish, Swedes, Norwegians, etc., etc. And religion, too. Nothing like a good old Baptist vs Church of God rumble.
Oh, I definitely know the seething between the members of that “Big Tent”, I was just referring to “our common enemy” being laughable. It’d be nice if they cared about anything beyond their vendettas, but no.
meathouse appears to be 'splaining to us to take podunk white supremacist survivalists seriously more than he is of any clue how to get Republicans to Occupy anything but Federal lands.
He likely believes Our Common Enemy is big Gubbmint slash “international bankers”. YOU KNOW WHICH ONES.
It’s probably why these types are so into breeding as long term political strategy. The Bundy clan, if I am not mistaken, is like 14 kids. Ironically, all that practice does long term, though, is create a hive society where their ideals are impossible.
I believe they’re Mormon, not quiverful. Not entirely arguing with you there, but more of a passive effect than active.
I think the “be fruitful and multiply” thing had the same intent all the way back to the stone age.
That’s what confused me. Why weren’t they charged with vandalism and destruction of property or something?
Folks, while there’s some dissenting views being expressed here, please don’t antagonize others. I’m seeing a lot of that here and this is a great way to get the thread eaten.
And what kind of party?
A DILDO party…YAY!!!
A couple years old now, but an excellent report on the lineage of Bundy’s ideas:
The Romans?
They’re Mormon, aren’t they? This is pretty normal for more traditional Mormons.
Tensions flared after Don’t Shoot Portland protesters took an American flag from Bundy supporters—and burned it in the middle of Southwest 3rd Avenue.
Videos captured by Joe Riedl show the confrontation escalating soon after the flag burning.
“Thou shalt not steal!” yelled one Bundy supporter from Chapman Square. Another man in a wheelchair shouted racial epithets. (He is believed to be affiliated with the Bundy BBQ only by convenience.)
Protest organizer Glenn Waco fired back: “If you have a problem with burning crosses, why don’t you talk to your friends at the KKK and all these white supremacist organizations, then?”
Another Don’t Shoot Portland organizer defused the tensions by reminding both sides they had a common enemy: rich elites. “We’re fighting the same battle,” he said.
That statement received applause from both sides.
