It’s like The Giving Tree, except about a functional, loving family.
I can’t watch this right now because I’m commuting for four hours in my current job. Which, of course, feeds our family.
Hmm - at first I didn’t quite get the metaphor, as fire for so long has been an important part of survival. But in reading the note below, it made sense.
It reminded me of how fire plays an important part in some Native American traditions. They will start a fire from literally a single spark of flint and steel with a custom bed of various tinder and herbs. This is used to build a fire in a lodge, which once it gets going will have it’s coals distributed to another lodge. And on and on. Very symbolical of several things in life.
Fun fact - Potawatomie literally means “People of the Fire”.
