I’m surprised Rob didn’t make a sly reference to the infamous trope of the “Gainax Ending”, so called because of the absurd, abrupt endings in some of their works.

Gainax was one of my favourite studios back in the early 2000s. They’ve always been a bit of a shitshow though. I’m surprised they lasted this long.
But hey, I’ve still got Evangalion, FLCL, Kare Kano, and Otaku no Video on DVD.

So I will never get to watch Uru in Blue.
Not suprised I remember reading in ‘The Notenki Memoirs: Studio Gainax And The Men Who Created Evangelion’ that they were always out of money.
