A person’s military career is over if their spouse bounces a check? Holy smokes. I wasn’t aware of that.
My sister got a ticket for a moving violation on a public road, but from a military policeman. When he was talking to her after he pulled her over he saw that she was a military spouse, so wrote her a military ticket. It went on my brother in law’s service record despite the fact that it was a civilian car on a public thoroughfare and he wasn’t in the car.
If a local cop had ticketed her it would have been a different story.
Again, that’s not by itself enough to bring a criminal complaint. It might be enough to warrant inclusion in an investigation. But there’s still no guarantee it woud go anywhere close to a a criminal charge.
First things first. Time for him to take a leave of absence while being investigated for his role in his wife’s treasonous activities.
And financial issues are rife, (especially with enlisted people with families).
Roughly 3 in 10 spouses or partners of service members said they do not pay their bills on time and about 1 in 10 said they currently have debts in collection, according to the survey.
Still, because of issues such as increased childcare costs during periods of deployment and the likelihood of relocation, it can be hard for spouses to find full-time employment to supplement their military incomes and build retirement savings.
AOC is right, as usual.
They are looking forward to murdering their fellow citizens anyway. I’m on various federated social networks, and before you start getting generous with blocking people, you’ll definitely see that clowns like this guy are hardly unique; they’ll often overtly tell you they cannot wait to murder “communists”, including who they are talking to.
This sounds like a job for…
Or 14th Amendment. Nothing in there excludes SCOTUS.
Not that further evidence of his lack of character is needed, but also lied about his sister to curry political favor among racists. THOMAS` SISTER`S LIFE GIVES LIE TO HIS WELFARE FABLE – Chicago Tribune
And he didn’t do a damn thing to help his own blood. I’m sure the believes that narrative and regularly turns his nose up at his relatives who did not luck out like he did… That tells you all you need to know about him.
Oooh, I forgot. He also failed to disclose his wife’s income with The Heritage Foundation. Stating she contributed nothing.
A crime punishable with up to 2 years in prison or a fine in the millions of dollars.
“These fucking lists were so insane and unworkable,” said one former Trump White House official who had to personally deal with the Thomas-supplied memos and Trump’s fascination with them. “A lot of them were dripping with paranoia and read like they were written by a disturbed person.”
This act, I think above all others, would just be hilarious.
I beleive that Rudy getting disbarred in NY was probably what has stung the most out of all the embarassment he has taken on.
So if it went to trial and led to a conviction the 6–3 Republican majority on the Court could overturn it, on the pretty legit grounds that it was openly a scheme of political extortion?
Forced resignations seem to be a part of many plea deals.
e.g.
Well the only way that would be “super interesting” to us is if the DOJ “made it clear” to the public they were offering a tit-for-tat deal, not just for the defendant but roping in a third party, which would typically be something plea bargains try to keep out of the public eye, albeit in a nudge-nudge-wink-wink manner that hardly reflects well on the whole criminal justice industry
What would really be super interesting would be how hard the U.S. attorneys got smacked down by the Court as they re-learned not to bite the various hands that fed them
The current make up up of the supreme court isn’t well disposed towards public corruption law. Possibly because half of them are on the take, or want the theoretical freedoms that being on that take would imply.
