Armed domestic terrorists take over federal building, but it's OK, they're white

These uppity Whites in Oregon, everywhere really, are nothing but animals: inbred, shiftless, lazy, animals. Disgusting. They shop at Walmart and eat Miracle Whip / Wonder Bread sandwiches. They while away their days watching The Price is Right, molesting their sisters and/or daughters, and speaking in tongues. And their smell: like Axe body spray, bleach and bacon. “White Musk” my grandfather used to call it.

hashtag yallqaeda tells it exactly how it is with the White mongrels and Milk People.

Don’t get me wrong though: there are plenty of decent, hard-working, law-abiding Whites out there. This thread seems to be chock full of 'em. You people are a credit to your race.

Indeed, Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution, the section that outlines the powers of Congress, says

“To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;”

What the feds do or don’t do isn’t the problem here. The feds aren’t the one restricting access to this building in this case. The people with the guns are.

I’d certainly be the first to agree that the CIA has an atrocious taste in friends; and that the American desire to pretend that we pick those friends for reasons of virtue rather than convenience is nauseating; but are you seriously suggesting that supporting or opposing various proxies and allies of convenience based on perceived national interest is something that other states with foreign policies don’t do?

If so, you seem to have met nicer nation-states than I have.

Have they hurt anyone?

I doubt it. We’d have a bunch of dead black people, “hero” cops, foaming-at-the-mouth conservative commentators talking about gangs and thugs, and politicians trying to pass laws to make it easier for middle class and wealthy white people to arm themselves, all while the NRA folks, gun manufacturers, and gun store owners wank off with their profits.

A bunch of dudes having a sit-in in some cottage in the middle of nowhere, and they are called “terrorists”?

The rhetorics, the rhetorics!

White separatist now means “racist who does not want to pay taxes,” and generally includes “still wants to receive government services and subsidies”

In other words, just as racist as the segregationists of the 60s fighting to preserve jim crow and separate and unequal, but more stupid and selfish.

I haven’t seen anyone prove to me that they are not actually all Kenyan.

They are racists both personally and by their unapologetic, public affiliation with armed, racist militias.

A larger point is that the racism highlighted in the OP is the leniency of law enforcement toward (armed! gangs! openly defying law enforcement!) white male suspects.

Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward said in a statement released on Saturday night. “A collective effort from multiple agencies is currently working on a solution. For the time being please stay away from that area.”

It’s a sharp departure from the way that other protests are characterized for the public. For instance, the racial justice activists affiliated with the Black Lives Matter are often labeled as “threat actors” and accused of inciting violence against police officers, even though the movement is largely nonviolent. In some cases, police have used excessive force against Black Lives Matter protesters, deploying riot gear and tear gas to counter the apparent threat posed by the unarmed activists taking to the streets.

But even when white people are suspected of committing violent crimes, there’s evidence they aren’t subject to the same scrutiny or perceived as the same level of threat. Indeed, armed white people are more likely to be taken alive into police custody rather than shot and killed by cops. And although armed white men are arguably the biggest threat to Americans’ safety — right-wing terrorists have killed more people than “homegrown jihadists” since September 11 — the mainstream media typically isn’t comfortable labeling them as domestic terrorists. …

No one is mentioning the 1985 bombing of the MOVE row houses.

Just FYI, some food for thought:

You mean you don’t want us to send in a JTF-2 commando to slit throats and take names later?

Given that the PM has obliquely called The Donald a fear-driven git with regards to Syrian refugees (very obliquely - we don’t interfere with US elections, you understand, or Bernie would probably already have a full endorsement), I don’t think Ottawa would be sending “civilian volunteers” with valuable military experience to support a group of white supremacists.

Rhetorics? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

As the supporting character on The Sopranos whose-name-I-can’t-remember memorably said before he died during … one of the seasons … never mind, he said:

“Those are RICO predicates.”

Thumbs up, etc.

I don’t sympathize at all with what these white guys are doing, but attacking divisive racism with divisive classism is, yeah, an ironically divisive tactic.

They are using the threat of deadly violence to further their political agenda.

If you bring a bomb into a building and threaten to hit the detonator if your demands aren’t met we don’t have to wait for the thing to go off before we can label you a “terrorist.”

A “sit in” doesn’t usually include threatening to shoot anyone who tries to enter the building.

I used to work with someone that had a pink semi-auto (AR15, I think) then she put a Hello Kitty sticker on it - I shit you not. I saw the pics.
