This isn’t bad policing, this is bad media to me. Police get a bad name every time some whackadoodle* commits a “preventable” “high profile” crime. Media generally defines both these terms, not the police.
- Just pointing out the popular attitude, not the most helpful one regarding unusual, or mentally ill folks.
