Making, Crafting, Creating... aka Whatcha workin' on?

Disneyland isn’t quite open to guests just yet, but my niece still got to have a taste of the experience for her birthday. I made some progress with the ride vehicle, and think the shiny sheetmetal looks pretty keen. It will probably never look that shiny or clean again, though. [20210424_135748] [20210424_142809]

That’s definitely a couple levels above most of the PVC-based backyard coasters I’ve seen before. This guy really seems to know what he’s doing, but I guess that comes with experience since this is his 5th home-built coaster.

I just wonder whether his kids still use it much. In my experience the problem with these kind of projects is that by the time you’re done with them the kids have already been involved with enough testing during construction that they get bored of it. (Who are we kidding though, dads always build these things for themselves, not their kids, whatever else they may claim.) Still nice to have available to entertain party guests though.
