"…the White House has placed zero restrictions on Bannon talking to special counsel Bob Mueller: “He can say whatever the hell he wants to say to him about whatever topic that he wants.”

Hmmmmm. Why is trump compartmentalizing Bannon?

#3

The Trump administration could be facing more legal trouble for obstruction than for collusion, and Bannon wasn’t even directly involved in the stuff with the Russians (at least according to the accounts I’ve read). From a strategic standpoint the White House has more to lose by trying to shut Bannon up than by letting him talk about things he has only secondhand knowledge of.

Granted, it’s not like Trump to actually adhere to any of the sound strategy others lay out for him so it will be interesting to see where this goes.

The source said that White House lawyers continued to instruct Bannon not to answer questions, until they have an agreement with the committee about the scope of questions.

Hoho, the filthy bastards

There were lots of mentions of the Michael Wolff book, and lots of loathing of Bannon in the room: “Everybody seemed to hate him — both sides. He had no friends in that room. … [H]e was in a room full of enemies.”

Hah, suck it Bannon

The House Intelligence Committee is looking into any possible coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia, and is one of several groups investigating the matter.

Oh? Do tell…

#6

“The agents were unaware at the time that Bannon had retained Washington lawyer William Burck just hours earlier”

#7

Gosh, who woulda thunk that when your leadership strategy is to pit everyone against each other, scorch the earth, and literally embody a Sith Lord, it would make everyone your enemy?

#8

I predict he pleads the fifth shortly.

#9

Bannon won’t talk, can’t talk. House Intelligence Committee not the One.

Fingers crossed it’s a Plea deal.

Sooo many questions for Stevie:

  • Don Jr’s meeting in the tower
  • Kushner and money laundering
  • Cambridge Analytica
  • Mike Flynn and Wikileaks
  • Erik Prince’s back channel efforts w trump/Putin…

Plea? IDK Bannon is an arrogant bastard and will probably go down fighting.

Anyone seen or heard from Kushner lately?

#13

I can’t keep up. Will he or won’t he?

I’m not sure what they’d have to charge Bannon with. Most indications are that he was the one guy in the West Wing who never wanted anything to do with the Russians from the start. He’s a bigoted monster but he’s also a fierce Nationalist.

Oopsie!

“Steve Bannon made one conspicuous slip up in his closed-door hearing on Tuesday with the House Intelligence Committee, according to four sources with direct knowledge of the confidential proceedings. Bannon admitted that he’d had conversations with Reince Priebus, Sean Spicer and legal spokesman Mark Corallo about Don Junior’s infamous meeting with the Russians in Trump Tower in June 2016.”
