Oh! My mistake. Still, no specific word for it that I can think of.
âA giant ice block more than twice the size of Greater London is on the move, years after its formation.â
I donât know metric, how many Districts of Columbia is that?!
Too bad Iâm from a place that hits -40
Eta: found the screenshot from a few years back when I was outside waiting for a bus (tbf itâs not always that cold in winter but it does get that cold)
Was just grabbing the screenshot! Thanks for the assist.
I havenât been to a Sonic in ages, but I seem to recall their soft drinks being served with crushed ice or really small ice granules. Would make sense for someone to describe light hail on the ground to look exactly like a discarded drink from the restaurant.
I donât know, the âpea sized hail possibleâ in the Special Weather Statement leaves me less confused, assuming Sonic ice is in that vicinity⌠or maybe weâre up to garbanzo bean sized ice?
The stones, ranging from sizes akin to a basketball to a compact car,
Or the size of 50 hedgehogs to 100 Cave Bears.
and how much does that weigh in stone?
Thanks to @anon61221983
I didnât post that. I think @anon61221983 did in response to me.
As posted by the American museum of natural history-
Imagine a pinecone as heavy as a bowling ball, and as big as a chihuahua. This giant belongs to the coulter pine! It can be found in California & Mexico. Nicknamed âthe widowmaker,â it produces the worldâs largest pineconesâwhich can weigh ~11 lbs (5kg) & plummet to the ground with deadly force!
