Except it’s not its neck, that’s the thorax that is pulled further than Stretch Armstrong. See the forelegs are at the head end of things.
The neck is quite small on these wondrous critters

ups, of course you are right, mammalian anatomy bias at work. This first pair of legs fools me into horror mandible territory.
