What a coincidence! A mantis shrimp isn’t a mantis or a wasp either! Have we considered the possibility that they’re the same animule?

Update: I think it is safe to extrapolate from the sample so far that nothing with “mantis” in the name is actually a mantis, especially not “praying mantids”.
